'Au Revoir' micro-soft-ware!

French Parliament is moving from microsoft's windows to Linux platform, replacing IE with Mozilla's FireFox and microsoft office with OpenOffice.org ....

As reported on NewsFactor.com There is currently a number of French ministries and government bureaus that run Linux, but only on servers. France's Senate and National Assembly will be the first to use Linux on workstations, although neither one has announced which flavor of Linux it plans to use instead of Microsoft's software next year.

Mountains of e-garbage!

bbc arabia is repoting that the UN envirnoment program is holding a meeting to discuss the dangerous "e-garbage" that are dumped in poor and third world countries, which amount exceeds 50 tons yearly!

This process produces dangerous chemicals, besides having "heavy materials" for the process of the "mother nature"!

The program leader thinks that this kind of garbage is the most growing in our third world countries which comes among other developed countries' kinds of garbage!

Before, these were shipped to asian countries like India and China, but when they started putting more restrictions they found it easier just to dump them here!
